What are lifting accessory inspections?

As past of our fully-comprehensive inspections, lifting accessories are actually included when we perform lifting equipment inspections. The separate categorisation of ‘lifting equipment’ and ‘lifting accessories’ is something outlined within LOLER regulations and why we must undertake separate inspections for each, however they are both assessed during the same overall inspection service.

What are classified as lifting accessories?

Lifting Accessories are deemed by LOLER regulations to be ‘pieces of equipment that are used to attach the load to lifting equipment’. How often do I need lifting accessories to be inspected?
