What are crane inspections?
The statutory regulations for cranes come under LOLER and it explains how ‘people who are sufficiently competent’ must carry out a ‘thorough examination’ on any lifting equipment, including cranes. This is where we come in, and provide a throughou inspection and testing service of your crane order to ensure it is legally deemed as safe to use and complies with government regulations.
How often do I need a crane inspection?
In accordance with both LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations) 1998, if you operate lifting equipment then this must be inspected every 12 months, and lifting accessories must be inspected every 6 months. Therefore any cranes you operate must be inspected every 12 months and if you operate using any sort of additional accessory, then these must be inspected every 6 months.
Why should I use AV Statutory Inspections?
As explained within the legal regulations for LOLER, your lifting equipment (in this case, cranes) must be inspected ‘using people who are sufficiently competent’. Due to our certified testing and inspection of lifting equipment, we are deemed as ‘competent’ by the legal standards and are therefore legally authorised to provide a full inspection of your cranes and give you the all clear in relation to UK regulations.
